The Egyptian Game Development Syndicate (EGDX) aims to foster a vibrant and collaborative game development community in Egypt. Our services include a monthly magazine, monthly showcase meetups, investor connections, and various other resources to support and grow the game development industry in Egypt.

Membership Types and Fees

Chairman

• This person is going to be chosen from founders board by voting from all members

Founders

• Eligibility: Experienced game developers, studio owners, or significant contributors to the game development industry.
• Subscription Fee: EGP 10,000 annually.
• Privileges:
  • Voting rights on key syndicate decisions.
  • Priority access to investor connections.
  • Enhanced visibility in the monthly magazine.
  • Exclusive networking events.
  • Opportunity to influence the direction and activities of the syndicate.
• Responsibilities:
  • Active participation in syndicate activities.
    • Attend strategy meetings
    • Attend events
  • Support and mentorship for other members.
  • Financial contribution to fund hiring necessary employees.

Studios

• • Eligibility: A minimum contribution to the game development industry.
  • Subscription Fee: EGP 5,000
  • Privileges:
    • Highlight as a contributor
    • Visibility in the syndicate’s platforms (Magazine)

Normal Members

• Eligibility: Individual game developers, students, or enthusiasts.
• Subscription Fee: EGP 1,000 annually.
• Privileges:

  • Participation in monthly showcase meetups.
  • Access to investor connections (subject to availability).
  • Inclusion in the community directory.
• Responsibilities:
  • Financial commitment
  • Maintain following the Code of Conduct (Ethical Regulations)

Sponsors

• Eligibility: Companies or organizations interested in supporting the game development community.
• Subscription Fee: EGP 50,000 annually.
• Privileges:
  • Logo placement and recognition in the monthly magazine.
  • Speaking opportunities at monthly showcase meetups.
  • Access to exclusive networking events.
  • Opportunity to offer workshops or training sessions.
  • First access to syndicate reports and publications.

Membership Process

Joining Process

1. Application:
   • Submit a membership application form through the EGDX website.
   • Provide necessary documentation (proof of experience, company registration, etc.).
2. Review:
   • Applications will be reviewed by the membership committee.
   • Applicants may be invited for an interview.
3. Approval:
   • Successful applicants will be notified via email.
   • Membership fee payment is required within 30 days of approval.

Exit Process

1. Voluntary Exit:
   • Members may choose to exit the syndicate by submitting a written notice to the membership committee.
   • No refund of the subscription fee will be provided.
2. Involuntary Exit:
   • A single warning followed by an exit interview
   • Members may be asked to leave the syndicate if they violate syndicate policies or fail to fulfill their responsibilities.
   • The decision will be made by the membership committee after a thorough review.
   • No refund of the subscription fee will be provided.

Code of Conduct

• All members are expected to adhere to a professional code of conduct, promoting respect, collaboration, and integrity.
• Harassment, discrimination, or any form of unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of membership.

Community Management and Engagement

• Website and Social Media: Maintain an updated website and active social media channels to keep members informed and engaged.
• Discord Channel: Establish a Discord channel for real-time communication and community building.
• Hiring: Hire a senior community manager to oversee community engagement and member services.

Events and Services

• Monthly Showcase Meetings: Organize monthly meetings for members to showcase their work, share knowledge, and network.
• Magazine: Publish a monthly magazine featuring industry news, member achievements, and resources.
• Job Listings: Provide a platform for hiring within the community.

Educational and Incubation Programs

• Workshops and Training: Offer regular workshops and training sessions led by industry experts.
• Incubation: Provide incubation services for promising game development projects, including mentorship and resources.

Investor Relations

• Investor Connections: Facilitate connections between members and potential investors.

Amendments

• The policies of EGDX may be amended by a majority vote of the founders.
• Members will be notified of any changes in policies via email and the monthly magazine.
